Meet Danny
Danny is a cherished part of the Blackheath Hair & Co. family and has almost thirty years of experience in the hairdressing business.
The Adventure Starts
When Danny started working as a Saturday boy in a retro salon in 1995, his passion for hairdressing was ignited. Eager to learn the ins and outs, he eagerly jumped into jobs like shampooing, setting, and cleaning. Danny started his official college study in 1997 and spent the next eighteen months perfecting his craft and learning the fundamentals of hairdressing.
From Colourist to Cutting Specialist
Danny started working as a colourist at Beyond the Fringe in Bexleyheath in 1998. Due to his talent and perseverance, he was transferred to the Eltham branch, where he received additional training at the Woolwich branch. Danny demonstrated his extraordinary work ethic and perseverance by working evenings in a Soho pub at this time.
Bright Encounters and Enduring Friendships
The next stage of Danny’s life took him to Lewisham’s Shobiz, a vibrant and enjoyable salon where he made friends for life. The Shobiz crew went out together every night of the week and was a unit. Danny’s abilities took off at this point, as he was enrolled in a three-month Schwarzkopf colour course and a Toni and Guy cutting course.
Learning Colours and Giving Back
Danny developed a vast amount of colour experience in his eight years at Shobiz. After moving to the Sidcup location, Danny enthusiastically enrolled in a number of L’Oréal colour classes. The salon had adopted L’Oréal colour. The Shobiz crew was also very committed to giving back to the community, and they took part in hair shows and charitable projects.
Beginning a New Era at Blackheath Hair & Co.
Danny decided he needed a change in 2015 and settled in at Blackheath Hair & Co. He has made incredible friends and works with creative stylists who are as passionate about creating gorgeous looks as he is. Every cut and colour Danny does demonstrates his passion for his trade, and he couldn’t picture himself doing anything else.
Outside the Salon
When Danny’s not changing people’s appearances at Blackheath Hair & Co., he likes to travel and see new places. His favourite spot to relax is the beach, but he also likes to keep active by going to the gym and going on lengthy walks around the countryside. Danny values his family just as much and enjoys spending time with his nieces and nephews.
