I remember stepping into the exciting world of hairdressing when I was just 15, with my first job in Covent Garden’s bustling streets. This was more than just a job; it was the beginning of a passionate journey. I’ve always prided myself on having a competitive spirit, constantly striving to excel in everything I set my hands on.

The Foundations of Excellence

My early years in hairdressing were spent at a small, independent salon where I developed my skills and learned about how invaluable teamwork is. It was also here that I completed my degree in Hairdressing and found a lifelong friend who has been a source of strength and inspiration to this day.

Ten Years with Blackheath Hair & Co

Now, jump to the present, and I am the manager at Blackheath Hair & Co., where I have worked for ten years, having joined the team when I was just 19. This decade has been a journey of personal and professional growth. Managing the salon is not just a job; it’s been a transformative experience, thanks to the fantastic team around me and the opportunity to learn and evolve continually.

The Joy of Transformation

What captivates me most about my role is the wonderful joy of uplifting my clients’ spirits. The art of hairdressing is not just about style and aesthetics; it’s about instilling confidence and happiness in your clients. I’m fortunate to have a career that allows me to encounter diverse people from all around the world, some even travelling from overseas for our services.

A Love for Balayage and More

My personal favourite in the realm of hairdressing? It must be the art of balayage. The technique, the subtle blending, and the effortless elegance it brings are truly mesmerising. But my passion doesn’t end there. Whether it’s classic blondes, vibrant brunettes, or bold, unconventional colours, I embrace and adore the spectrum of hairdressing. And let’s not forget the timeless bob – a style I admire immensely despite my own challenges in rocking it! As they say, ‘we always want what we can’t have’!

Life Beyond the Salon

Outside the salon, Family is very important; my fiancé has been my rock since we were fourteen; we are creating a home and memories together. And, of course, not forgetting Haze, our adorable dog, who is my ‘baby’ and adds endless joy to our lives.
